The DBX1000M Recessed Metal Dryer Vent Box provides a clean, durable in-wall connection for clothes dryer exhaust systems. Constructed from 22-gauge powder-coated steel, it recesses the dryer duct connection into the wall to help reduce space behind the dryer and create a professional finished installation.
Important for 2x4 walls: The DBX1000M-4 uses an intentionally oval-shaped duct opening so a standard 4" dryer duct can fit within the limited depth of a 2x4 wall cavity.
Available for 2x4 and 2x6 wall construction, the DBX1000M supports multiple venting configurations and includes a snap-on trim ring for a clean finished appearance. Designed for residential, multifamily and commercial laundry installations.
DBX1000M-4 – 3½" Deep: Designed for 2x4 framing and can also be installed in 2x6 framing. The duct opening is intentionally oval-shaped to allow a standard 4" dryer exhaust duct to fit within the limited depth of a 2x4 wall cavity. This is a design feature, not a defect.
DBX1000M-6 – 5" Deep: Designed specifically for 2x6 framing and provides additional depth for the 4" dryer exhaust connection.
Both models: Constructed from 22-gauge steel with a white powder-coated finish and snap-on trim ring.
Important – DBX1000M-4 Duct Opening: The DBX1000M-4 has an oval-shaped 4" duct connection by design. Because a nominal 2x4 wall cavity is only 3½" deep, the connection is formed into an oval profile to accommodate standard 4" dryer duct within the wall cavity.
